What's for sale?

This is a small, handmade, promotional ashtray for Ricard, the French pastis brand. As well as the more usual promotional items, Ceramique Ricard made a variety of aquatic themed ashtrays like this one.

It's a fun and colourful, featuring a red and green fish apparently lounging on a rock at the water's edge. The ashtray's rim has also been fluted to mimic waves. It would have looked great in a bar and it would certainly make a nice desk ornament today.

What condition is it in?

• Second-hand
• In fair to good condition
• There's a chip under the rim and one under his or her right-hand gill

What are the measurements?

• 5.5cm at highest point (2 inches)
• 10cm at widest point (4 inches)
• 131 grams
