This is a water jug in pale blue glass made by Sowerby.  It's from their pattern 2550 Water Set, made in four colours: amber, blue, flint and pale green.

Who made it and when?

It was made by Sowerbys' Ellison Glass Works Limited of Gateshead in the 1950s (see the catalogue reproduction at 20th Century Glass).

What condition is it in?

• Second-hand
• In very good condition
• No chips or cracks
