What's for sale?
This is a collection of four Victorian, salt-glazed, stoneware bottles in a variety of shapes and sizes, and includes a Dutch Bols bottle with small, looped handle.
The Bols bottle is impressed "Erven Lucas Bols | Het Lootsje | Amsterdam". Het Lootsje (little shed) refers to the first Bols distillery on Rozengracht in Amsterdam. It's probably a gin bottle.
The remainder of the collection are Victorian bottles which would have been used for a variety of purposes, frequently ink.
We like putting together collections like this, trying to match or contrast various bottles to make an interesting display. Graag gedaan!
